Accommodation

There are 4 bedrooms; 2 with double beds, 1 with 2 bunks- sleeping 4, and an attic room with 4 single beds.

While it’s possible to sleep 12, 6-8 is a more comfortable number.
There are pillows, 3 double duvets, 4 single duvets, and spare bedding but no bed linen.

The outside Elsan toilet is a short walk from the house.

The cottage does not have running water. Water from a spring collects in buckets which are manually emptied into a tank in the house.

The washroom has a water heater and basin but no shower or bath.

There is a Rayburn in the kitchen and a wood burning stove in the sitting room.

Electric storage heaters provide supplementary heat in the downstairs rooms.

Cooking

In addition to the Rayburn there is a propane gas cooker. The kitchen is equipped with electric toaster and kettle, and a good range of cooking utensils.

Entertainment

There is a table tennis table, a good collection of jigsaw puzzles, games and books.

Arriving

The last 300 metres of track is un-paved and steep in places.

Depending on your car and the weather conditions it may be best to leave the car at the bottom and walk. It takes about ten minutes.

Leaving

We don’t have a cleaner, so you need to allow time to tidy and clean the house before leaving.
